Bio
am a GP Partner at Leckhampton Surgery in Cheltenham and have been in this role since 2015. I'm married to a GP, together we have 3 young children, and I appreciate the difficulties of balancing professional and personal lives. I've been an LMC representative since 2018, and I enjoy my advocacy role. I've had the privilege of caring for a number of doctors in practice and I have observed that that this patient group presents its own unique challenges. I'm passionate about protecting family life, and about helping colleagues to preserve their own mental and physical wellbeing.

Bio
I have been an LMC member since 2011 and my current role is LMC Vice Chair and Digital lead. I firmly believe that we all bring our own value to general practice, however we choose to work. I challenge the notion that we have to work to our limits to do the best for our patients and our colleagues. Happiness and personal wellbeing are important, if we get the balance right and take some time for family and ourselves, we are much less likely to burn out. I think of a career in terms of quality; be the best you can and think about how you can maximise your time. Better to be a great GP for a few hours less hours a week than a grumpy tired exasperated GP. Work towards a sustainable, long, happy career than light the candle at both ends and burn out early.
I am also an NHS clinical entrepreneur with a software start-up focused on staff wellbeing and productivity. I run, cycle, snowboard and garden for leisure and have a young family.

Bio
I have been a GP since 2009 and moved to Gloucestershire since 2015 and became a partner at Quedgeley Medical Centre in April 2016. I am also married to another GP. We have 2 children in high school. I have also been a managing Partner and acting practice manager since November 2016. I have been a member of LMC since 2016, and more recently an executive member of LMC. My relocation to Gloucestershire, not knowing anybody here was challenging. Together with taking on partnership and balancing work and family with 2 young children gave me insights into various aspects of life. By getting to learn and manage a busy practice I also taught myself the art of dealing with matters and the skill of prioritisation. I am a people's person and have interest in coaching and mentoring. I like to listen and help in whatever way I can. Prior to relocating to Gloucestershire, I was also an appraiser, and I have worked in OOH settings as well.

Bio
I have been a GP in Gloucestershire since 1991 working as a partner in Cheltenham for 30 years and more recently as a sessional/locum GP working in different practices around the county. During that time, I have also served as an OOHs coop director, a CCG board member, and a LMC member.
My experience working across different parts of our system here in Gloucestershire, as well as previous roles as a GP trainer and as a GP appraiser, have helped me to appreciate and to understand the significant difficulties and stresses that so many of us must deal with. Talking things through often helps and can be the start to finding solutions.
If you would like to make contact through the Safehouse website I would be happy to try and help and if you like, arrange to meet up - either online or face to face if you prefer.
